The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor partners with the Maintenance Supervisor/Senior Maintenance Supervisor/Multi-site Maintenance Supervisor to manage the overall maintenance functions of the property. This includes repairs and maintaining all HVAC systems, mechanical, electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, structural facilities, grounds of the property, and unit turns. The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor is a hands on, roll up your sleeves position and is required to be in the on-call rotation. Additionally, the Assistant Maintenance Supervisor manages the property and team when the Maintenance Supervisor is absent. The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor partners with the Supervisor to work toward the common goals of satisfactory cash flow, positive resident relations and optimal resident retention.
Training/Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License and reliable private transportation
EPA Designation/Certification required, including Type I and Type II
Experience/Skills
Minimum four year demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and grounds keeping
Minimum one year assisting with budget preparation and execution
Some exposure, knowledge and skill leading and managing a team is required
Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and applicable program regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point; Yardi experience is required

Additional Requirements

Ability to operate all necessary tools/equipment to perform the essential functions of the position
Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of OSHA standards and other environmental safety standards
Ability to perform a variety of duties in all types of weather
