Overview

Buckingham is seeking someone who is driven, experienced, and proficient in real estate acquisition and development underwriting, market and demographic research, portfolio and investor reporting. The successful candidate will also be able to assist in performance analysis, risk reporting and presentation materials. As a member of our skilled Buckingham team, the Investment Analyst will be able to provide knowledge in real estate investments, asset management, portfolio management and capital markets.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or similar
  • Prior real estate experience highly preferred but not required
  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and annually provide proof of auto insurance

Responsibilities

As Investment Analyst, prepare comprehensive presentation materials, such as for investment committee and assist in macroeconomic research and target market evaluation and selection. This role will develop underwriting proformas for new development and acquisition opportunities, including validation of assumptions with Property Management, Development, and Construction teams. You will coordinate and oversee acquisition physical due diligence processes and documentation, including managing internal personnel and external contractors. The Investment Analyst will perform portfolio analytics and data management, create and monitor portfolio models, reforecasts, and hold/sell analyses, as well as prepare financing packages, investor reports, and fundraising materials. As the Investment Analyst, you will also develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers, including our departmental teams.
