The Development Associate plays a critical role in supporting all aspects of the multi-family development process—from site identification and feasibility analysis through design, entitlement, construction, and stabilization. This position is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented professional with a passion for real estate development and a strong understanding of project management principles.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field
2–4 years of relevant experience in real estate development, investment, or project management
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Familiarity with the development lifecycle, including entitlement, permitting, and construction processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Passion for multi-family real estate and an entrepreneurial mindset

Project Coordination and Management
Supports the end-to-end development process, including due diligence, entitlement tracking, budgeting, and scheduling. Assists in coordinating internal teams, third-party consultants, and contractors to ensure timely execution of project milestones.
Financial Analysis and Modeling
Prepares and maintains financial models, development proformas, and sensitivity analyses for potential and active projects. Assists in the preparation of investment committee materials and lender/investor packages.
Market Research and Site Analysis
Conducts market research and site feasibility studies, including demographic and economic trend analysis, competitive surveys, and zoning reviews. Assists in identifying and underwriting new development opportunities.
Design and Construction Support
Collaborates with architects, engineers, and general contractors throughout the design and construction phases. Reviews plans and construction progress to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Reporting and Documentation
Maintains organized records of project documents, entitlement approvals, consultant contracts, and permits. Prepares regular development reports for internal leadership and capital partners.
